The 2012 Rotorfest held at Brandywine Airport helped celebrate the 15 th Anniversary of the American Helicopter Museum which is located at the airport. The show wasn’t as long as previous years, but still provided a wide variety of helicopters to keep the crowd looking toward the sky. Military flights from the USMC gave the public a look at what our troops are flying and a Search and Rescue Demo by the USCG out of Atlantic City, NJ provided a look at how a sea rescue is performed. Their were quite a few private helicopters flying from the small Autogiro up to a few high speed passes from the Sikorsky S-76B and a couple of passes from a Bell CH-146 Griffon from our Canadian friends to the north on it’s way home. A small but nice static display of military and private helicopters were also available for the public to check out before and after the show. |
