The
annual airshow at New Garden Flying Field has something for everyone.
A nice little show where the planes taxi few feet from the crowd,
give this show a nice laid back feeling compared to the bigger shows.
The show in the air is the main feature but also going on are an
antique car show, WW II encampment, air related displays and games,
helicopter and airplane rides, the “Manhattan
Dolls”, and the “Ultimate Abbott and Costello Tribute
Show”. Numerous food stand had a wide variety and good prices
to keep the crowd happy. |
The airshow produced by David Schultz Airshows had a good selection
of aircraft in the air and on the static ramp. Aerobatic flying
was provided by local flyer Matt Chapman, and flying in from New
Jersey was Jason Flood. Swingtime Wing Walking featuring Jane Wicker
kept the crowds eyes on the skies during her show. |
A USAF B-2A Spirit Stealth Bomber made three
passes over the show on Saturday and was the highlight of that
days show. On the warbird side a P-51 Mustang and a P-40 Warhawk
flew amazing demos and also a B-25 Mitchell did passes over the
field. Also taking to the air were a training flight of WW II trainers
doing single passes and formation flying. |
Value for the show is very good and well worth
the admission price. |
